Live the Life you Love

To be nobody but myself -- in a world which is doing its best, night
and day, to make you everybody else -- means to fight the hardest
battle which any human being can fight, and never stop fighting.
^E.E. Cummings^

For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case,
too early to be whoever you want to be.
There's no time limit, stop whenever you want.
You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing.
We can make the best or the worst of it.
I hope you make the best of it.
And I hope you see things that startle you.
I hope you feel things you never felt before.
I hope you meet people with a different point of view.
I hope you live a life you're proud of.
If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.

Most people tell you you're not good simply because
they are afraid that you are. Don't ever forget that.

No, life cannot be understood flat on a page.
It has to be lived; a person has to get out of his head,
has to fall in love, has to memorize poems,
has to jump off bridges into rivers,
has to stand in an empty desert and whisper sonnets under his breath...
We get one story, you and I, and one story alone.

May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness.
I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful,
and don't forget to make some art--
write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can; and i hope,
somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.
-Neil Gaiman

"...Life and death, energy and peace. If I stop today it was still worth it.
Even the terrible mistakes that I made and would have unmade if I could.
The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it,
for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to
hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between,
through it, and above."
